The Manor offers visitors the option of exploring its spaces independently or choosing a guided tour with a passionate guide for a personalized experience. A geocaching rally is also available for groups wishing to explore the village of Saint-Jean-de-l’Île-d’Orléans.

Geo-rally

This activity was created in partnership with La Société du Patrimoine urbain and Îlot des Palais.

Inspired by geocaching, this geo-rally invites you to explore the village of St-Jean-de-l’Île-d’Orléans using a GPS. Composed of 15 visual caches, this walking circuit invites you to discover the history and heritage of Île d’Orléans. This activity is suitable for everyone.

This project received financial support from Québec Philanthrope.

Duration: 1h30 to 2h

The last departure is at 3 p.m. You must return to the Manor by 4:45 p.m.

Parking

The Manor has two parking areas for visitors. Entrances are accessible directly from Chemin Royal, before and after the building.

Full day: $10.00
Buses and/or RVs: $20 / night (maximum 1 night)

Donation boxes are available at the different pavilions for payment. You can also pay at the Manor shop between June and October.

What a magnificent manor! Another heritage treasure to discover and preserve. Its construction dates back to 1734, during the era of New France. Inside, you’ll find numerous beautifully curated exhibits: reconstructions, collections of artifacts, explanatory panels, and videos. The passage of time hasn’t diminished the beauty of the place. The charm and history behind the manor have been carefully preserved. The spirit of its former owners still lingers.

A must-see if you’re on Île d’Orléans. This elegant 1700s mansion is beautifully restored. A self-guided tour is available, explaining everything in detail, and there are also excellent written presentations in both French and English. Three floors—visit them all!

I really enjoyed the tour (with the audio guide), the history, the fact that you can visit all the floors, the garden, and the apothecary’s section with the labels indicating the herbs, vegetables, and fruits! I highly recommend a stop at the Manor! The tour price is very affordable! And you can see everything quite quickly, so it’s convenient for continuing to explore the island afterward!
