The Manor’s backyard is a large, wooded area accessible to all. It features a large green space and outdoor washroom facilities available to visitors during the opening season.
This is where the sculpture Futur antérieur stands proudly. Created in 2003 by the artist René Taillefer, the work presents the symbolic portrait of Lord Jean Mauvide in three elements: his profession as a surgeon, his role as a shipowner and his role as initiator for the planning and construction of roads on the island.
